Nestled on the picturesque shores of Red Beach, New Zealand, this home draws inspiration from the robust materiality often found in industrial settings, the structure proudly features recycled bricks as a cornerstone of its construction. These bricks, rich with history and character, seamlessly blend with the landscape, evoking a sense of timelessness and resilience.
The heavy materials used throughout the project—exposed steel beams, concrete surfaces, and timber accents—create a striking contrast against the delicate beauty of the beach. This juxtaposition is intentional, crafting a narrative that celebrates both strength and tranquility. Large, expansive windows frame breathtaking views of the ocean, inviting natural light to flood the interiors and blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living.
